These Hiking shoes are balanced with a lower profile and weight than boots. The Hedgehogs are waterproof, highly durable GORE-TEX® bootie that stops rain and water from muddy puddles in its tracks. They have a supportive midfoot shank; the toe area gives added stiffness over technical rock, and the heel shape is optimised for comfort. The Vibram® XS Trek outer soles deliver the optimal balance of high traction and durability without adding unnecessary weight or bulk.

I wish I had found this site/shop earlier.
They are soo competitive with prices, have a great selection of gear and delivery is prompt.
As for the shoes, this is my third pair!
Enough said, comfy, hard wearing and eventually gortex lined.
I might get the blue ones next!
