A water-resistant nubuck upper has been combined with a GORE-TEX® waterproof and breathable lining to ensure that you remain dry and comfortable as you explore. A PU midsole offers low weight and outstanding underfoot comfort whilst the padded collar supports the ankle as you move. Scarpa has included Vibram’s distinctive Energy Sole which provides a durable, cushioned layer which offers incredible grip over a wide range of underfoot conditions.

A new pair of old friends
Best walking shoes out
My new pair are a replacement for my previous ones which sadly I have had tp replace having worn out over several years heavy use. As expected the new pair are made to exactly the same high standard as the previous ones and will, I trust, last for as many good years and miles walked as the old ones.
Very very comfortable
These are my second pair, they are very comfortable. My first pair have worn down quite quickly but I think its because I wear them so much.
Great walking shoes but heal wears quickly
These are fantastic comfortable and supportive walking shoes but the downside is that the soles wear quickly. I've just bought a second pair (the boot version) as I value the great performance over the limited durability.

be aware the boot soles will wear out quickly on tarmac and concrete.
A great shoe
I've been wearing these walking shoes for about a month so far and have been very impressed. I did find the lack of cushioning a little disappointing but purchased some memory foam inserts which made a huge difference to the comfort. The shoes are very easy to put on and your feet just slide in with ease and the lace loops make tying your laces up a breeze. Overall, I'm very pleased with the shoes but they could be quite hard on your feet if you're in them all day.
Great shoes
Lighter weight and comfortable than most other waking shoes. Easily ‘broken in’ and smart enough to wear with jeans.

Poor durability
I've had these shoes for 20 months and they are wearing through on the sole. Why make a shoe that wears out so quickly. I expected 5 years! Not going to buy Scarpa again on principle. Trying to find a good walking cycling shoe and I don't wear cleats.
Superbly supportive Walking Shoe
Worn every day for 18 months, cured my tendonitis. Certainly they are getting worn, but any shoe would be after that time of constant use. Well impressed both with the initial cost and the workmanship. I've already bought a second pair.
Lack durability
These boots wore out within the guarantee period but Scarpa refused to replace them due to wear. Apparently designed for soft ground and occasional walking holidays! This wasn’t made clear by the seller or in the literature. Disappointed as I feel misled.
Poor boot
Had these for about eighteen months and the seams at the front are letting water in on both left and right shoes . So a manufacturer fault I would hazard a guess. I had cheaper Berghaus shoes before and they remained waterproof all their life .
Comfortable but wear out fast
Used these for 6 months before the sole wore out. Turns out they're made from a "softer compound not suitable for regular use on hard surfaces", and they can't be re-soled. According Scarpa the website tells you this, but the packaging doesn't and nor did Blacks. Comfortable while they lasted but that wasn't very long. An expensive mistake.
