With its roots buried in its popular predecessor, the Terra, this technical walking shoe has great credentials. A water-resistant nubuck upper has been combined with a GORE-TEX® waterproof and breathable lining to ensure that you remain dry and comfortable as you explore. A PU midsole offers low weight and outstanding underfoot comfort whilst the padded collar supports the ankle as you move. Scarpa has included Vibram’s distinctive Energy Sole which provides a durable, cushioned layer which offers incredible grip over a wide range of underfoot conditions.

Scapa cyrus walking shoes
Very comfortable
This is my second pair, find them extremely comfortable and look good. Agree with others that the sole could last longer, my previous pair lasted 5 years which seems reasonable to me but it depends on how much you use them, you really need a figure in miles walked.

Comfortable walking shoe
Great looking walking shoe, same style as the boots I have. Arrived all fine but noticed both sets of laces looked a little worn:frayed..Really comfortable but the only let down is the sole potentially which reviews say is the weak spot. However they were in the sale for £110 and these will be used lightly so happy to take risk. So for a great sale price they are worth it-Full price then probably not due to sole not being Vibram etc. Overall pleased
Couldn't choose worse.
After wearing them daily for 8 days they are still extremely uncomfortable. Length wise are perfect but very tight (my feet aren't abnormally wide) and don't want to stretch much more. Moreover very slippery on wet cobalt pavement/street which makes them terrible shoes.
I don't think I will try Scarpa again.
An excellent outdoor walking shoe
Just bought a pair of the Men's Cyrus GORE-TEX Walking Shoe having previously owned another of the Scarpa shoes. I find this shoe to be really comfortable, offers good support and obviously waterproof. Some may find the inclined heel awkward at first as you do walk slightly differently, (a slight rolling action) but you get used to that very quickly. The quality seems excellent as is the sole and they look good.
I went and purchased a second pair, so clearly I am recommending them.
My new “best” trail shoe
Having been a fan of Merrell trail shoes for over 20 years, I have found something that is more comfortable than the moab style of shoes. As I have got older, my feet have changed shape and the roomier toe area of these scarpa's has been godsend. I loved these so much I have bought a second pair (again at a favourable price) and put them away for when this pair wear out. My only worry is whether the sole will wear out quickly as not a vibram sole bit time will tell. Otherwise they are an extremely comfortable shoe and look the part, either on the trail or as a smart pair for evening wear!

I repurchase another pair once they wear out. I'm on my fourth pair. Generally happy with them, though the soles aren't particularly long-lasing.

This is my second pair of these excellent walking shoes. They are sturdy, robust, waterproof and have a first class sole. Can’t fault them in any way.

Excellent
This is the second pair of these shoes I have bought for my husband. The first pair lasted years a d he loves them as they are so comfortable and supportive. He wears them almost every day for work as well as weekends. A great all rounder.
Previous experience
Had these before. They are comfortable and hard wearing, but be aware that after a couple of years they are no longer waterproof as they leak through the seams when the stitching weakens.
A great walking shoe
This is my second pair of these shoes. They provide firm support and are stylish enough to pass as smart casual shoes. I can’t praise them enough.
All round great shoes
Cracking in both design and looks. Rare these days that a shoe that says it’s waterproof….. actually is. I put these to the test in 2inches of snow and stayed dry. The fabric is a bit stiff to start of with, but this means they will last and they are comfortable after a few miles as they walk in.

3rd pair I’ve bought from Blacks, very supportive, water proof and soles wear quite well, but can be a little less grippy than some on smooth wet surfaces
Brilliant
Have had a pair of Scarpa walking boots for 5 years and still going strong. So when deciding to invest in walking shoes for the early morning walk with the dog there was one place to go - Scarpa. These walking shoes were comfortable from the get go. I usually take a size 8.5 in shoes but the 9 was perfect with good walking sock. They look good too, not too bulky as some shoes can appear. First class walking shoe.

A very comfortable and lightweight shoe, but, as others have said, the sole wears very quickly. Scarpa's definition of 'durable' is obviously open to interpretation.
