Very impressed so far...
Exceptional value
I've had 4 pairs of Hi Tec boots over the last 14 or 15 years. My last pair I got in 2019. I went on holiday in Germany and took my new Hi Tec boots as my main foot wear. With a good polish they were good enough to wear to go out in. Their main use has been for walking. I wear them if I am going on an urban walk and also hill walking. They are dry, not too heavy they have a good grip and really comfortable. Only now has the heel started to wear down and the leather near the toes cracked and started to let water in. Without doubt the best boots I have had, brilliant all rounders.
Well made but tight fitting
Well made, leather uppers, waterproof with a breathable inner and rugged soles.
I bought these online from Outdoor Pursuits, to replace a much older pair of the same make.
On trying them on I found them too narrow, even though they were the same make and size as my old boots.
The return process was very easy, and my money was refunded within 24 hrs.
Excellent boots but if, like me, you have wide feet probably best to buy in-store, as different models of the same make vary in width.

Impressed so far, I gave the boots a good rub with conditioner, especially on seams and where leather meets the outsole. This has made the leather more supple (aiding wearing-in) and helps with waterproofing. No issues so far, bought specifically to walk the dog, rather than ruining expensive walking boots with mud. But I would also happily climb any mountain in these: the soles are rigid enough, good quality full grain leather, laces stay put, no rubbing or hot spots. Really good value for money at this price. I simply hose them off after walk and store upside down.
