The demands of the trail are no match for the Merrell West Rim Hiking Shoes. In addition to the high-performance waterproof technology, a bellows tongue helps to keep sand, debris and puddle splashes from entering the shoe. Cushioning EVA foam is used in the midsole to provide comfort while supportive shock-absorbing pads dampen impacts on rough terrain.

After reading a review on here whilst these hiking shoes were on the way to me, I was disappointed to read how negative it was. However, each to their own as I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Whereas the negative review complained of the shoe not supporting the ankle, I found that my previous walking boots restricted the ankle movement too much. After eight years of walking in the same pair of boots, it's great to feel my non-numb ankle movement again
These non-slip hiking shoes, moulded well to my feet and was further delighted to find that even my bunion didn't ache after a long walk.
