Hillwalker II
Very pleased. I have Berghaus boots for years and they have been excellent. These new ones are just as good - comfortable and light.
I needed to return the 10.5 size as they were a might too small and exchange them for size11. The return was easy and straightforward though it took a while to get refund after having to re-buy.
Berghaus Men’s Hillwalker II Boot
This is my second pair of Berghaus Men’s Hillwalker II GORE-TEX Leather Walking Boots.
The boots are very comfortable taking very little to break them in without causing any blisters.
I use them every day all through the year, they keep my feet dry and don’t overheat while walking,
keep them well treated with dubbin and they will last for years.

Lovely boots
Lovely lightweight boots and a slightly different shade of brown from what I normally see.
My feet are a bit on the broad side but these are a good fit, not tight. Easy walking , straight out the box.
Can't comment on any waterproof properties yet.
Excellent walking boots
I went back to Berghaus as I have found that other makes do not remain waterproof for long. I do a lot of walking and need good quality comfortable boots.

A good lightweight boot for all occasions.
Put them through their paces in North Wales, walked and scrambled with them, no issues and no sore feet!

Good reliable daily dog walking boots
Second pair I have bought. I use them for daily 5 mile dog walks as well as hill walking. Waterproofing is good, never had a problem. Make sure to dubbin them to stop cracks if like me they continually get wet and dry and wet again. Comfortable to wear from new and a true size.
Great boots
These are my second pair of boots. First pair lasted a good 6 months through winter. 5 miles a day walking dog through mud and rain. They finally gave up with leather splitting around crease but I suspect that was due to me not waxing them properly. Remained watertight throughout until leather split. I'd advise to buy half a size more than you would regular shoes if wanting to wear thick walking socks.
Comfort
Walk about 3 miles a day. My first leather boot after having used the more canvas/goretex boot for 15yrs. I changed because I got fed up with my boots splitting above the ball of my foot while the sole still had plenty of wear in it.
The canvas/gortex boots were comfy from the box.. These boots ripped my heels apart first time (approx 10 mins). Take care there. Quietly Increased distance. Now up to 1hr after 2 months. Using softerner wax, waterproof wax etc as recommended. I think these will be a comfortable boot after about 3 months FOR ME. Instant comfort no.

Owned and used daily for 6 months now, not once have they let water in and dry off really quickly really comfortable, i walk up to 10 miles a day with my dog, and they show no signs of wear.
The only gripe is the laces tend to come undone so i double knot them.
