Key features
Built with pliant upper material, the shoe moves with the motion and natural curvature of your foot when ascending and descending. The synthetic microfiber is breathable and moisture-wicking to ensure your feet don't become too overheated or slippy and sweaty on the climb. A hook and loop fastener running in a zigzag across the back of the foot also ensures that the shoes always sit securely on the feet, but can also be taken off and put on quickly. The rubber lined heel and toe offers further protection and comfort and the midsole itself is extremely supportive with a thickness of 4mm. Reinforcing its versatile shape is the in-built 1mm Flexan, which won't interfere with your climb. Allowing for precision on even the smallest steps, the shoe features a Pressure Absorbing Fit System and medium heel tension.

I've been out of the climbing game for a good 25 years but recently joined my local wall. I did plenty of reading around these shoes and a fair bit of watching online reviews, including Scarpa's very own pitch. I ordered a size down from my street shoe. I did one route before ditching them in favour of a centre shoe. They are tight at the toe yet the heel is bulbous with way too much volume. Too painful for toe hooks with no contact between, foot, rubber and wall to make any move involving the heel viable. I now have a different brand in the same size. Give them a swerve if you're a novice.
